Below are some further details of the race entry process.
Race Rules
The race rules are primarily to ensure the safety of all race entrants. The race rules incude details about mandatory equipment that must be taken and where it must be kept on the boat, the design of the boat itself and key dates regarding arrival at the race start. They also define what counts as external assistance, penalties that will be applied in the event of a rule being broken and the training that each entrant should complete prior to the race start.
Cost
The total race entry fee depends on two things
- Whether the boat is a solo, pair or four
- When the crew decide to start making monthly payments of their race entry fee
The race entry deposit is a £300 (~$500) non-refundable deposit which secures your entry place in the event and gains you access to the entrant zone of the website, discounted products and services from our support partners and more.
This is followed by a number of monthly payments. The earlier these monthly payments start, the larger the level of the discount applied to the race entry fee. The table below illustrates the size of the discount applied. All race entry fees must be paid in full by 30th March 2014.
