Honesty and respect
We will always respect everyone at all times and be honest with them.

Enjoyment
We want all entrants to love the experience of rowing across an ocean as much as we enjoy managing our events.

Testimonials

Below are some testimonials from previous teams we have worked with or their supporters.

In 2014 while planning and training for Ocean Valour’s North Atlantic crossing I met Chris Martin of New Ocean Wave, a legendary North Pacific rower. With 2 ocean rows and his own race to his name, as well as a respected ocean rowing consultancy and management company, I was keen to get him onboard the team and work as the Logistics and Media manager. Chris went above and beyond his job description, getting us sorted out with much needed food and safety equipment as well as he shipping of the boat to New York and through the hellish customs system. His commitment to the project and attention to detail was epic. Throughout the expedition Chris uploaded regular blog posts detailing how the team were coping, what they were going through and what they were likely to face as the expedition continued. This was a real lifeline for the families and friends at home. It was this dedication to making sure every soul in England knew about our crossing, that enabled the team to raise £100,000 for the Brain Tumour Charity and gain significant press interest from the BBC, ITV, Western Morning News, Sunday Telegraph and The Huffington Post. If your planning on rowing an ocean and want slick logistics, badass media coverage and moral boosting ground support, then New Ocean Wave are the guys for you.

Massive congratulations for running such an awesome race that I’m going to remember for the rest of my life”
Mark Gleeson – Team NOMAN – Great Pacific Race 2014

Chris Martin and New Ocean Wave provided an experience for us beyond even our highest expectations. His attention to detail, appreciation for safety, and responsiveness to the various needs of individual crew members made the journey across the Mediterranean a life-changing one. No matter how fierce conditions were, at all times we felt like we were in great hands. I am greatly looking forward to a long partnership with New Ocean Wave in the years to come.”
Tristan Almada – Board Member of HPV and Anal Cancer Foundation and NOMAN member of Team Isabel.

Sarah and I were privileged to work with Chris and his dedicated New Ocean Wave team as part of the NOMAN is an Island: Row to end HPV campaign. Chris and New Ocean Wave were incredibly organized, tenacious and from the outset nothing was ever too small a question; even when supporting the crews during some tough moments – they were still in regular contact understanding our function could only be achieved with good communication from them. It has been a pleasure to work with Chris and his dedicated team (without whom NOMAN could not have happened)”

Early on

I am so fascinated by photography and it’s capability to bring your imagination to amazing places. Early on, I fell in love with the idea of filming my own productions, so I set out to learn everything I could.

Current

I have been teaching myself filmmaking for the past four and a half years and I’m still learning every day. I am building my business as a freelance filmmaker, as well as working on my own photo shoots.
